Solving’s latest Heavy Duty air film Mover is designed to lift and move power transformers weighing up to 500t though the various processes of production and test.
The Mover is fitted with air bearings, drive wheels, a hose reel and a sophisticated PLC to minimise the need for operator control and to maximise safety. Using the portable radio control unit one operator can move 500t accurately and safely.
The drive units are electrically powered using an onboard battery system, which allows an unloaded Mover to be manoeuvred without the air supply connected. When a load is to be moved the air supply is connected to allow the air bearings to inflate, providing a virtually friction-free support system that permits large loads to be moved with minimum effort.
