Gearing up for growth
Transport and logistics company Transmec UK is gearing up for further growth after securing international contracts worth more than £10 million. The business, which has depots in Redditch, Bradford and West Thurrock, provides bespoke logistics services across Europe in addition to operating scheduled transport direct to 11 countries.
Recent contract wins include a £5.6million deal which sees Transmec UK moving automotive parts from European suppliers to UK manufacturing plants and a £2 million fashion logistics contract to provide express delivery of hanging garments from the UK to Italy.
Increasing demand has already resulted in Transmec UK’s 11,000m2 Redditch warehouse reaching its capacity, leading to the acquisition of an additional 6000m2 of warehousing space at nearby Pershore.
