Help to achieve zero landfill

Leafield Environmental has supported The Vaillant Group in achieving its goal to produce ‘Zero Landfill’ waste with a recycling scheme for wood, cardboard, plastic and metal. Leafield Envirobins were installed in fifteen office areas for the segregation and collection of paper, plastic bottles, cans and general waste.

In the production areas Leafield identified the need for a variety of differently sized specialised collection receptacles and following trials, produced a range of Envirotruck wheeled and Envirobox pallet boxes to meet The Vaillant Groups’ needs precisely. Some 150 units were put into the production area.

The Zero landfill goal has been achieved four years ahead of target and a revenue stream of £30k per annum has been generated, principally due to the value of metal collected. The accomplishment is even more staggering when you consider that production volumes have increased by 35% since the scheme was initiated.
