Hot-rolled racking

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

For many years, German company OHRA has specialised in the design, manufacture and provision of heavy duty, cantilever and pallet racking systems. The first OHRA cantilever rack was welded in several parts and the next generation was simply punched to enable the arms to be adjusted.

OHRA developed a self-protecting, insertable arm. This arm, which today comes as standard, reduces the impact on goods meaning that they stay undamaged. Steven Morrison of OHRA explains: “We worked in cooperation with our customers to design a racking system that reduced the damage to their possessions and offered them an array of benefits.

“Today, we swear by hot-rolled steel when producing our cantilever systems, especially for heavy and awkward scenarios. Contrary to conventional sheet metals, hot-rolled steel offers superior holding capacity and over time has proven as a safe and durable storage solution for every type of industry. In short, the highest demands in quality and load bearing capacity are fulfilled without any problems.”
