Industrial door screening

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

The ProtecTor by Kampmann provides an air curtain across doorways in industrial halls, loading bays, hangars and warehouses preventing uncontrolled loss of energy due to open doors.

The patented multi-stream outlet discharges two adjacent air streams; unheated and warm air curtain. The ambient air stream adapts to the air volume of the heated air acting as a barrier between the outside and heated air giving deeper penetration and effective air curtain even at high mounting heights.

The company says: “Using unheated air parallel with the warm stream for superior screening results in substantial energy saving over conventional systems.”

To meet project-specific requirements, the ProtecTor features design versatility such as standard horizontal above door installation or standing version mounted vertically at one or both sides of the opening, a range of heat exchanger standard copper/aluminium or cross-counterflow galvanised steel suitable for low water temperature heating systems and corrosive environments, standard lengths up to 5 metres. These also come equipped with ErP-compliant 3 phase AC or single phase EC fans thus allowing an extensive range of control accessories including speed controllers, industrial thermostats, door contact switch, integration with building management system etc.
