Joloda alliance with Lodamaster
JOLODA CONVEYOR Services has announced a strategic alliance with Lodamaster, becoming the sole distributor of Lodamaster in the UK.
As part of the partnership, Joloda Conveyor Services will add Lodamaster’s Telescopic Boom Conveyor and integration products to its offering. It means customers can now purchase a bespoke conveyor solution from Joloda Conveyor Services, in addition maintenance and conveyor services.
Lodamaster’s Telescopic Conveyors improve efficiency when loading loose parcels into vans. For the last mile delivery, logistics businesses can benefit from significant improvements in loading and unloading times in warehouses, compared to traditional technologies. The extendable conveyors consist of a base and extractable booms designed to reach inside vehicles in a safer, quicker, and cost effective and efficient way.
Additionally, Lodamaster’s Telescopic Boom Conveyor can be customised to meet logistics needs. The client can choose the number of booms and retracted length needed for loading and unloading, based on the type of vehicles they use and other specifications for their warehouse, such as the existence of back-lying conveyors or dock levellers.
Joloda Hydraroll has also boosted manufacturing capacity at its facility in Anglesey, Wales, with the addition of a metal plasma cutting machine.
The £145,000 investment in the plasma cutter, and training for operators, will enable Joloda Hydraroll to manage more of the manufacturing process in-house at its site in Anglesey, which has more than 50 employees.
The plasma cutter produces an accelerated jet of hot plasma to cut through steel sheets at speed. It will be used by Joloda Hydraroll to create parts that are welded to the structures of its automated loading systems, such as the docks and trailers.
It is a move that will slash delivery times, reduce production costs, and elevate the site as a hub for industry-leading innovation.
