Kanes Foods awards contract to Pooling Partners

Pallet pooling specialist, IPP Logipal UK & Ireland, part of Pooling Partners, has won a sole-supply contract from Kanes Foods, one of the UK’s most respected suppliers of fresh prepared chilled produce to the major multiples. Previously, Kanes Foods dual-sourced its pallets.

Mark Harris, company director, Kanes Foods says: “IPP Logipal offers a great quality product and excellent customer service. This has been demonstrated time and again over the past five years, convincing us to award it our full pallet business. Previously, our requirements were split 50:50 with another supplier.

“IPP’s systems are easy to understand and administer, we enjoy ease of communication and believe we will benefit from improved value from the sole supply agreement. This new contract represents a joint opportunity to provide growth for IPP which could unlock further potential savings for Kanes Foods.”

Carl McInerney, country director of IPP Logipal UK & Ireland, part of Pooling Partners, adds: “It is rewarding to have won all of the company’s pallet business based on the quality of our product, excellence of our service delivery, our people and the value for money we offer.

“Kanes Foods is a trade direct customer and over the past five years it has noticed a significant increase in the quality of IPP Logipal pallet deliveries from retail distribution centres compared to those from the previous shared supplier. It has found our online ordering system, epallet partner, to be very user friendly and with its access to 24-hour reporting can manage its pallet balances easily.”
