Muting function
Thanks to the use of pre-assembled, pre-cabled and pre-aligned muting sensors, Datalogic’s SG body compact and SG BIG light curtains are said to be ideal for applications that require the muting function.
Both are polarised retro-reflective and through-beam models with L-shaped integrated muting sensors for one way muting (EXIT only), T-shaped integrated muting for two way muting (ENTRY and EXIT) and standard linear versions for use with external muting sensors. They are available as Type 2 (SIL2, PLd) and Type 4 (SIL 3, PLe) versions.
Typical applications include automatic machines, robots, automatic assembly lines, palletisers and de-palletisers.
