New Tate Modern deploys shelving

Scottish-based Complete Storage & Interiors provided storage solutions for the New Tate Modern.

For the fit-out, storage experts at CSI used Dexion Hi280 shelving for its versatility and capabilities. Dexion Hi280 shelving is suited for the variety of goods and equipment required to be kept in the many store areas throughout the new building.

CSI designed layouts for the shelving installation, completed pre site surveys and provided detailed specification to the Tate Modern prior to installation. To ensure that the project would be completed within a tight schedule, the installation was fast-tracked.

“It has been a great experience to be involved with such an iconic building,” said Robert Kennedy, MD at CSI. He adds: “We look forward to continuing our work in the museum and galleries sector and providing specialist storage solutions for unusual objects and interesting locations.”

The new building, which features a twisting, pyramid-like shape, was designed by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron.
