Organised board storage
Two cantilever racking installations from Pro-Dek Storage Systems have enabled manufacturer of kitchen and bedroom carcase and fascia panels, Decorative Panels Components, to stock raw materials with maximum efficiency and minimum damage in a new factory in West Yorkshire.
Pro-Dek has designed and installed the racking in two sections with capacity for over 500t of chipboard and thin-board. The racking allows every pack to have a separate location and bar-code for efficient handling and traceability and also minimises the number of times material is handled, to reduce damage and waste.
For both types of board Pro-Dek has installed its heavy-duty Pro-Bolt cantilever racking, which allows arm positions to be adjusted in 150mm increments.
