Palletline weighs up safety
As of 1st October, Palletline has become the first pallet network to introduce a lower weight restriction for standard tail lift deliveries. The new tail lift weight restriction – as voted for by Palletline members – will be 750kg or under, compared to current industry limits of 1000kg, in order to protect drivers and customers from injury.
At the same time the company has introduced a new service – Lift Assist – which means that drivers will still be able to safely deliver a one tonne pallet with enhanced handling equipment.
The Lift Assist uses appropriate materials handling equipment and is designed to protect customers and drivers from loads falling off the back of trucks after being carried by their own weight momentum during the unloading.
