Preventing bacterial growth on flooring

It is well known Listeria and other bacteria are a problem for hygiene conscious environments such as food production and processing.

Listeria, in particular, can cause human disease and food poisoning.

Listeria is commonly found in many environments and is known to contaminate food stores and workplace surfaces.

Unlike most types of bacteria, Listeria can reproduce in temperatures below 5 degrees Celsius and so can still grow to potentially harmful levels in cold or refrigerated areas.

To help prevent all bacterial growth and create a more hygienic environment whatever the temperature, a John Lord resin floor is the obvious choice.

Our resin floors create a hard wearing, seamless surface that enables and promotes an efficient cleaning routine. It is also antimicrobial.

At John Lord, we can ensure and prove that our antimicrobial resin floors can resist the growth of microbes including bacteria and mould.

Our treated flooring, containing BioCote technology, is able to achieve up to a 99.99% reduction in bacteria, including Listeria, as measured by the Standard Test ISO:22196.

Whilst a thorough, daily cleaning regime is both imperative and recommended, our treated resin provides a second layer of defence for those concerned with hygiene.
