Proximity warning for site & worker safety

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

ZoneSafe Proximity Warning systems (Avonwood Developments) has introduced the next generation of products to its safer worker portfolio. Said to further improve site and worker safety, these new proximity warning products have been developed using innovative technology and market feedback.

The new design of the in-cab control unit includes a universal mounting system that provides faster installations for both permanent and short term fixing. On the inside is a choice of selectable alarm tones, included as standard. These are changeable to suit operational environments.

The Vibra proximity tag is part of ZoneSafe’s new wearable tech. It provides two-way alerting between worker and machine operator. The tag can be attached to a belt or fixed to a hard hat and gives short bursts of vibration when breaching a detection zone.

Data and reporting is another focus area in the safer worker portfolio. Event data such as tag detections and hardware status can now be delivered as a report directly to your desktop or device.

ZoneSafe is said to significantly reduce the risk of accidental collisions and near miss occurrences where people and vehicles work together. Visit them at The Health & Safety Event, NEC, 2123 March 2017.
