‘Pulling Together, Stay Safe’ initiative launches
Warehousing and transport specialist, GMA, has launched a safety initiative as part of its commitment to a risk-free working environment across its operations in both Ipswich and Felixstowe.
The campaign introduces a health and safety logo that will feature on its trucks, trailers, staff uniforms, company website and brochures. The new logo, complete with the strapline 'Pulling Together, Stay Safe', is the winning result of a company-wide competition, created to further engage staff in GMA's ongoing commitment to create a positive and sustainable work safety culture.
The company is also re-training employees and updating handbooks to reinforce the key messages of the initiative, whilst posters providing health and safety guidelines have been produced for display in GMA depots.
Jay Kamat, business development director of GMA comments: “The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) reports that more than half a million non-fatal injuries occur in the workplace each year. Our health and safety plans aim to get people working collaboratively to raise awareness of potential risks and to identify sensible measures to control them in our workplace now and in the future.”
Independently owned, GMA provides a comprehensive range of national logistical services including; storage, curtain sided distribution, container transport and specialised heavy transport, plant, machinery and project cargo.
