Reduced maintenance

Lighting sensor technology specialist, Steinel, is launching the HBS 200, an easy-to-install, indoor occupancy sensor, which can result in savings on energy and maintenance in high-ceiling industrial applications.

The HBS 200 is designed to be highly sensitive even when mounted at a height of 14m. With a five-year warranty as standard, it uses passive infrared (PIR) sensor technology to provide a no-hassle means to automatically cut out the energy that’s wasted by lighting spaces when they aren’t in use. Reducing the burden placed upon high bay lighting not only reduces energy bills, it can also cut down on regular lamp replacement, reducing the need to undertake difficult maintenance at height.

The HBS 200 can be mounted onto high bay luminaires or junction boxes, reducing wiring needs and making for a straightforward installation process. It provides 360-degree coverage, with a 30 x 4m detection zone, which means that a single sensor is able to cover a long aisle or passageway.
