Safe pharma transport
va-Q-tec has announced the launch of a second network station in Japan. Like the already existing network station in Tokyo, the new facility meets the increasing demand for va-Q-tec’s pallet size shipper (va-Q-tainer) rental services in the region.
It provides container fulfillment services for high volume temperature sensitive pharmaceutical shipments in partnership with Oosumi Logistics.
Haruaki Yamakawa, CEO at Oosumi Logistics said: “We have agreed to set up a new network station for va-Q-tainer in Inashiki City. va-Q-tec and Oosumi Logistics will make a great contribution to temperature controlled logistics in line with Good Distribution Practice.”
With increasing demand for cold chain logistics following GDP guidelines, Oosumi Logistics focuses on safe transportation services for pharmaceutical shipments in Japan. Oosumi Logistics has its own fleet of temperature controlled trucks and is located in a clinical trial approved warehouse close to Narita Airport.
Dominic Hyde, MD at va-Q-tec added: “The new network station with Oosumi Logistics in Inashiki City meets the rising Japanese market demand for the transportation of temperature sensitive products for healthcare, clinical trials, pharmaceutical and biotech products.”
