Stability for palletised products

Gordian supplied an FT53 Shrink Machine to provide stability to Emballator’s palletised products. Product is loaded onto a pallet stand by a FLT driver and a hood is applied manually. The machine then hoods the pack automatically. There is potential to upgrade to a fully automated system in future.

The machine incorporates four enclosed hot air burners with flame control systems and safety electro-valves which avoids the risk of unburned gases escaping. An air combustion compartment ensures excellent flame stability and optimised heat shrinkage. The burners are only ignited during shrinking, thereby ensuring energy savings.
