Planning consent was granted in May for the new 5,100 sqm building that will become the UK HQ for the company, relocating from their existing operation in Marsh Barton, Exeter.

Nick Smith, Managing Director of STILL UK, said: “STILL is delighted to formally commence this exciting project. This is great news for the business and particularly our employees and customers in the South West. STILL has grown significantly over the last 5 years and this investment represents the next stage of our strategic growth plans. Working with our developers, Stuart Properties, the facility will be built to a high quality, with lean methodology and environmental sustainability credentials, enabling a great workplace, synonymous with our high quality brand.

“It will comprise of improved training & demonstration facilities, storage centre for our used & short term rental, truck refurbishment operations and headquarter functions. We are very fortunate to have great representation across the UK with both our own organisation and our valued Distributor & Dealer network and with this new facility, we will further increase our capacity for growth. We very much look forward to inviting our customers to our opening in Summer 2016.”

Tim Western, director at leading property consultants JLL, (which acted for STILL UK in this acquisition) added: “This is very positive news for the Exeter area. STILL like many other companies were unable to identify a suitable second-hand building within the local market.

”New build was therefore the only route and will provide STILL with a bespoke facility, which provides a great workplace for its staff and centre of excellence for their customers, following the company’s high quality image.”
