Strapping machines
Basingstoke-based Gordian Strapping has supplied 15 StraPack RQ-8Y Automatic Side Seal Strapping Machines to Intergreen’s facility in Newport, Hull.
When Intergreen opened its state of the art flower packing facility in early 2011, it brought with them several RQ-8Ys. Intergreen continued to invest in its strapping equipment in 2011 and 2012 and now has 15 StraPack RQ-8Ys.
Chosen for robustness and reliability, ten of the units are fully automated with in-feed and out-feed conveyors, and five are standalone machines. Each machine applies a single strap around a wet-pack Procona.
