UK based sprinkler head testing proves a hit
The Fire Protection Association (FPA) laboratory, based in Gloucestershire has seen a sharp rise in enquiries for sprinkler head testing in 2016.
Building managers who are satisfying their mandatory requirement to test a sample of sprinkler heads every 25 years (BS EN 12845 Annex K) have taken advantage of the competitive pricing and speedy project turn-around.
The FPA’s UK base prevents the need to send sprinklers away to be tested overseas, dramatically reducing lead times – we normally turn around a test in four weeks or less. A full robust report is provided with each test.
The experienced team of engineers are also able to provide a comprehensive sprinkler inspection service; which can consist of the following:
Sprinkler System Audit – Full sprinkler system evaluation, including witnessing of water supply tests.
Review of Hazard – The delivery of a review of hazard, including inspection of all processes and storage arrangements.
Design Checking – Providing a review and commentary of design drawings submitted prior to installation of sprinkler systems and before alterations.
Head of Special Projects, Simon Bartlett says: “The FPA has a strong heritage of providing first class sprinkler advice. Our position in the market makes us an affordable option for most projects, our team are happy to discuss potential projects on a no obligation basis.”
