UPM Conveyors reports big deals from PPMA Show and Interplas

The family-run UK manufacturer achieved orders in excess of £500k from showcasing their services at both Interplas and PPMA in September.

Orders obtained by the team were the highest in the company’s 43 year history and included both new enquiries and existing projects finalised at the stands.

Roy Fowler, managing director, detailed the orders in greater depth. The conveyor systems ranged across a number of sectors, including the food industry for crisps and biscuits, and medical health systems.

Across the exhibitions UPM Conveyors noticed a big demand for fresh vegetables and unattended production in injection moulding for the automatic transfer of components to totes, boxes with product count by weight and indexing the full tote.

In addition, attendees were interested in accumulation for a shift, box off and transferring innovative solutions. As a market leader for linear, rotary and vertical solutions, the UPM team was able to discuss these in detail and apply their knowledge of worldwide manufacturing.

In the last few years, there has been huge investment into UPM Conveyors that allows them to deliver full turnkey projects.

Roy Fowler says: “We have created a productive system whereby we share knowledge and decades of experience and take total responsibility for turnkey projects. Our focus is on customer satisfaction and the design of innovative conveyor systems that benefit businesses.”
