Webinar to tackle complex delivery demands

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

MetaPack and Manhattan Associates will deliver a webinar on July 14th designed to help retailers meet increasing demands from consumers for same-day delivery, click and collect and pick-up, drop off services.

Its central theme will help retailers to answer the question: how do we meet these logistically challenging requirements and exceed customer expectations?
Kees de Vos, Chief Commercial Officer at MetaPack Group will be joined by Craig Sears-Black, UK Managing Director at Manhattan Associates, to discuss innovations that will assist retailers about to embark on same-day delivery and the best ways to ensure that it can be done cost-effectively.
The webinar comes in the wake of MetaPack research amongst UK consumers aged 18-24 which reveals that they want fast delivery and on their terms, with 33% saying that for them it’s all about speed. The Delivering Consumer Choice survey found that of the services they would be most likely to use in the future, 76% of the consumer respondents confirmed that same-day delivery topped their wish list.

“This is a must-attend event for any retailer who has recognised the importance, not just of faster delivery, but also of free delivery and the competitive advantage that this will provide in terms of choice, convenience and flexibility,” commented Kees de Vos. “Retailers that can address this increasing demand from their customers will reinforce loyalty to the brand, but they have to understand the mechanisms available to do that and we will address this and more in the webinar.”
