Aston Martin grants long term logistics contract
24 February 2020
The contract extension runs to 2027 and will include the new manufacturing plant in St Athan.

DHL Supply Chain, the principal logistics partner for Aston Martin, has been appointed to manage the full in-bound supply chain at St Athan, the company’s new manufacturing facility in South Wales.
In addition, DHL’s contract with the iconic British manufacturer has been extended to the end of 2027 following a successful two-year implementation.
Originally appointed for a five-year term in August 2017, DHL currently manages the inbound transportation, inventory management, warehousing and in-plant logistics to support the brand’s production facility in Gaydon, where over 5,000 luxury cars are produced each year. The appointment of DHL to manage the St Athan manufacturing facility comes as a result of the high levels of service delivered at Gaydon and the expansion will allow DHL to bring significant employment opportunities to South Wales over the coming months.
