Practical training could resume from April 12
23 February 2021
The Prime Minister’s outlined a roadmap out of Covid restrictions on 22nd February 2021 and the Government’s latest Covid-19 Guidance has been published.
The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) said: “In line with the Government's roadmap announcement, driving and theory tests will resume no earlier than 12th April 2021. DVSA is working closely with the Government and will provide more information as soon as we are able to do so on other tests, lessons and training.”
This means that all LGV Instructor, Assessor and Fleet Instructor practical training will continue to be postponed until 12th April 2021. All remote theory training, remote DCPC Instructor courses and Lift Truck Instructor courses will continue.
RTITB Instructor Academy manager Simon Docherty (pictured) said: “We understand that the RTITB Instructor Academy may receive further briefings next week, we will be sure to keep you updated on further news/changes. If you have any questions regarding these changes, please do get in touch.”
