Specialist fibre drum manufacturer
and distributor, Fibre Drums Ltd,
has introduced a high performance
weather-resistant coating in response
to requests from customers that store
drums outside.
The coating has been tested by leaving coated drums exposed to the elements for several months. The drums remained weather resistant with sidewells continuing to repel rainwater and atmospheric moisture.
Polycoated base discs were also used to prevent moisture seeping into the drums from the ground upwards.
"The coated drums are ideal for customers requiring exceptional levels of weather resistance and manufacturers of, for example, dyes and pigments where drums are 'misted' after filling to remove marking," says FDL sales director, Dave Scotting.
