At St Pancras station, the main UK
terminal for Eurostar passenger
services and the London hub for its
express courier division, Esprit
Europe, baggage and parcels must be
counted, weighed, security checked
and transported between their initial
delivery point at the EuroDespatch
Centre and the train. This needs to be
achieved with as little reorientation
and physical interference as possible.
Essential to this, Transnorm type TS1600-105 bends are reported to have performed faultlessly for their first six months of use, in both 90° and 180° modes.
Peter Risebrow, business manager for Eurostar's logistics division says: "Transnorm belt bends have performed with 100% efficiency, not only saving unnecessary baggage handling by retaining orientation, but also saving space in our baggage warehouse and reject areas."
