Installation of A-Safe's new style
racking protector system is reported
to have helped cut costs at DHL's
warehouse in Livingston. A major
distribution site for Iceland frozen
foods, the 300,000ft2 facility is
equipped throughout with racking
which requires protection from
forklift trucks and other vehicles.
DHL had previously used conventional metal systems, but had found them costly in terms of repairs following the accidents inevitable in a fast moving environment. Because of this, the company took the decision to trial A-Safe's new style 200OD with 90x90 single rail rack end barrier. This proved so successful in cutting costly damage bills that DHL has now embarked on a long-term programme to install the system throughout the warehouse.
