Seasonal peaks

Single price discount retailer, Poundland relies on Linde Material Handling to fulfil a 50% increase in specialist forklift trucks on short term rental (STR) to help meet seasonal peaks in demand.

In the months before Christmas demand increases significantly. All products are handled through two warehouses, totalling 517,050m2.

"We have worked with Poundland since it first opened," says Kevin Gillespie, corporate account manager of Linde Creighton. "We supply the company with more than 120 trucks in 'normal' conditions and an additional 60 or so trucks to cope with its peak demand for Christmas orders."
