Smart-Space offers an answer to the frustrations of delays and the danger of going over-budget when specifying temporary buildings and extensions

Smart-Space promises to reduce the risk of delay, frustration and going over-budget when specifying a new building or extension.

The company says: "If you have ever arranged a new building or extension for your company, you'll know what a stressful experience it can be. Typically, there are so many people involved at various stages, and so many hoops to jump through with the authorities; it's little wonder problems arise.Which inevitably leads to delays, frustrations, and the all too predictable unwanted and unexpected costs - which you have to pay." In response, Smart-Space provides a turnkey solution and handles the entire project from initial design to final handover in-house.

Antony Hunt, MD of Smart-Space adds: "You have only one point of contact, which eliminates the risk of any problems arising as things progress. It's got to make far more sense.

"It's well known building projects are fraught with challenges, mainly because of a breakdown in communication, or misunderstandings along the way.

"It's simple. The more people you involve, the more there's the chance of a problem which results in the client footing extra bills.

"Which is where we differ. You see, we employ our own structural engineer, designer, ground workers and installation teams; so we're in complete control - and take complete responsibility - through every stage of the project." The building design favoured by Smart-Space uses lightweight cold-rolled steel, which means saves thousands of pounds compared it to more traditional construction methods, according to the company.

A Kia Motors national franchise manager added: "It cost 22% of a traditional build and was erected, approved and operational with minimum fuss. It was operational in a matter of weeks, not months. At the appropriate time, it can be dismantled, re-sited and reused."
