Showcase of automated solutions

At Logistics Link North, KNAPP will promote its capabilities in the design, installation and maintenance of automated warehouse solutions. Specialising in automated order picking, KNAPP's solutions feature intelligent conveyor, free-roaming shuttles, automated storage and retrieval systems, sorters and Aframe dispensers. Paperless fulfilment - including RF, pick-bylight, and voice-directed order picking - is a particular specialism. KNAPP will highlight the benefits of its proven OSR Shuttle range, which combines shuttle-based storage with pick-to-light stations. The OSR Shuttle system achieves up to six times the rate of totes in/out than a traditional ASRS, while having about 20% less footprint and using less than 10% of the energy consumption. To date, KNAPP has installed 6,500 shuttles at 120 sites worldwide including systems at John Lewis, British Gas, AAH Pharmaceuticals, CooperVision and Centaur Services in the UK. KNAPP will also be promoting its warehouse software solutions, including its innovative module, KiSoft Mobile Warehousing, which scooped the software category award in the prestigious MM Logistik Awards at this year's CeMAT. The company will also be explaining to visitors the benefits of its vision-directed picking solution, KiSoft VISION. The first installation of this innovative system has now taken place at the site of Magnum Medical in Tallinn, Estonia, where it has achieved over 99.99% error-free picking.
