Norbert Dentressangle has been
appointed to provide storage,
inventory management and order
picking services by Initial, one of the
world's largest providers of hygiene
services.
Norbert Dentressangle is responsible for the receipt of product from Initial's own manufacturing division (Dudley Industries) and other European suppliers and the picking of telesales and on-line orders placed via Initial Direct, as well as bulk orders from Initial service engineers and wholesale customers, both in the UK and overseas.
Norbert Dentressangle receives orders direct from Initial's ERP system and is responsible for picking 150 orders per day, from a single unit up to full pallets. Occupying a dedicated area within Norbert Dentressangle's shared-user facility in Tamworth, the outsourced solution consolidates the activities of three former Initial warehouses, removing duplication of inventory and resources and providing a costeffective, flexible and scalable solution.
