temporary retail space during renovation
An ambitious refurbishment of Longacres Nursery in Bagshot is underway with some temporary operational space provided by Spaciotempo for the duration of the renovations.
To enable Longacres to provide a continuous service to customers during the works, Spaciotempo has supplied two gutterlinked buildings totalling some 1650 sq m in size which are being used as a temporary retail area with integral café. The larger of the two buildings is 85m in length and temporarily provides the main retail space for the nursery. An internal wall separates the café area from the main shop.
Customers gain access via five double fully glazed shop front doors which provide the look, as well as the strength, of permanent retail doors. They also flood the interior with light for a pleasant shopping experience. The second building, 25m in length, provides an indoor link to the nursery shop creating a seamless path around the differing sections of the nursery.
Rick De Kerckhove, financial controller of Longacres, comments: "We have been able to rent the buildings for exactly the length of time they are required, which has not only enabled us to keep the business going but minimises any unnecessary expenditure.
"Renting a temporary building has proved itself to be a versatile way of managing space during building works."
