Linde Material Handling has scooped the Environmental award in the Forklift Truck Association Awards (FLTA) 2012 for its 394 displacement pump.

The new 394 displacement pump is a specially designed axial piston displacement pump and has enhanced the Linde H40 to H50 IC truck range, helping to further reduce noise and energy consumption by up to 18%. Replacing the previous internal gear pump, this new innovation has meant that truck hydraulics and engine speed are no longer dependent on one another.

Three other Linde products were also shortlisted for awards. The KTruck range was shortlisted for the Ergonomics category for its new split controls and unique tilting barrier, the driving path warning device, Blue Spot, was shortlisted for the Safety Award and the intelligent software system for optimised VNA truck performance, Linde's Navman, was shortlisted for the Innovation category.
