Queen's award for transdek

Loading equipment manufacturer, Transdek has received a Queen's Award for Enterprise in Innovation for its groundbreaking developments in truck loading systems.

The award recognises the company's continued innovation in the production and installation of modular hydraulic lifts to service double deck trailers, which carry up to 67% more product than conventional HGVs. This has enabled transport operators to make significant cost and environmental savings, with one of the UK's largest supermarkets chains alone claiming a reduction of 12 million road miles travelled in 2010. It is the second time Transdek has won the award.

The lifts, which are designed for loading goods to and from fixed double deck vehicles, provide benefits that have increased the viability of double deck trailer deliveries across a wide range of sites and industry sectors.
