Placed to meet energy needs

In a move said to put GNB Industrial Power in the ideal position to provide its customers with a total power solution, the Exide Technologies subsidiary will move to new modern premises in Horwich, Bolton. From materials handling applications from the Motive Power Division, and telecommunications, UPS and standby power applications from the Network Power Division, to batteries for trucks and cars from Exide Technologies (Transportation), GNB will be well placed to cater for all energy requirements.

The new facility will be shared with Exide's Transportation business while still remaining two separate subsidiaries of Exide Technologies.

The existing Trafford Park facility will handle both divisions' logistics as well as battery assembly for GNB Industrial Power.
