company's GoBox can help businesses meet statutory
obligations and recycling targets cost-effectively
According to the Department for Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), the UK generates approximately 290 million tonnes of waste each year, which causes environmental damage and unnecessary costs for businesses and consumers. The UK has a statutory producer responsibility regime for packaging that places a legal obligation on businesses that make or use packaging (raw materials manufacturers, converters, packer/fillers and sellers) to ensure that a proportion of the packaging they place on the market is recovered and recycled.
Goplasticpallets.com says it is stirring considerable interest in the UK with Europe's largest plastic pallet box - the GoBox 1311. It is introducing the pallet box to the Recycling & Waste Management exhibition in September for the first time and will be accompanied by manufacturer IPS and for whom Goplasticpallets.com is sole UK distributor.
With a storage capacity of 1,400 litres, the GoBox 1311 is suitable for waste recycling as it is durable, can withstand cleaning temperatures up to 100°C, and is available in virgin and recycled food grade approved HDPE in solid (LRS) or perforated (LRP) versions.
The GoBox 1311 has already proven its use for applications ranging from recycling paper, fats and oils, and glass, and has even been used for collecting waste chocolate from Mars bars for use on pig farms! Supplied from stock in blue or dark grey, as standard the GoBox 1311 comes on three runners and can be tipped using a suitable fork lift attachment as its rigid design easily withstands the pressure created during this process. It is equally suited for use in automatic conveyor systems in warehouses, where its consistent dimensions ensure the box does not distort or twist. Stacking is facilitated by a stacking rim and anti-slip pads, easily allowing the box to be piled up to seven high. Impact resistant corners and reinforced cavities ensure the box has a long service life too - in most cases up to 10 years - and a builtin label holder makes it easy to track and identify goods.
