Bucking the national trend in the industry, Geodis Calberson has opened three new sites across the UK as part of a five-year expansion plan.

New jobs have been created at the facilities in West Thurrock, East London; Wythenshawe, Manchester; and Hedge End, Southampton.

The move underlines Geodis Calberson's commitment to continuing to invest in regional locations to support and strengthen its strategy of being close to its customers whilst offering European and worldwide service.

Network development director of Geodis Calberson, Heather Newton, said: "Our service offering across the UK and Europe is one of the bestkept secrets in the industry - a situation we are changing region by region with our new facilities. We are investing to ensure both service levels to our clients and our own positive growth can continue through these difficult economic times."
