BITO's SL86 heavy-duty plastic
container has received the Red Dot
Product Design 2012 Award.
Inaugurated in 1955, the awards are one of the world's largest and most distinguished design competitions.
The BITO SL86 is an alternative to large-volume containers made of metal or wood. Light and sturdy, its dimensions meet the demands of the trend towards reduced batch sizes. Its dimensions are 80 x 60cm, with a choice of two heights. It has a load capacity of 500kg and a stacking load of 1,500kg.
The awards jury commented: "This heavy-duty container is very light and sturdy due to its nondeforming, one-piece construction.
In addition, its access hatch is convincing since it handles smoothly thanks to synchronised hinges."
