One of the UK's leading racking and shelving manufacturers has turned to Doosan to ensure its UK manufacturing site operates at peak performance.
APEX Linvar, which counts Amazon, Sainsbury's, P&O Ferries, Dunlop- Goodyear, River Island and Argos among its customers, has taken delivery of six new 2.0 tonnes Doosan LPG counterbalance trucks, saying they are exactly what's needed for a modern handling operation.
"We were looking for a supplier that provides excellent value for money and the features we needed to keep our operators at peak efficiency," says Simon Smith, manufacturing engineering manager.
"The new Doosan trucks not only represent how we've advanced, but also our growing confidence and how we are well placed for the future. From a practical perspective, the equipment is very important to the business, we need to ensure our reliability and productivity rates are top notch." Efficient clean burn engines, comfortable operating compartments and masts providing excellent visibility are just some of the features which made the Doosan trucks APEX's first choice.
"The GC20P is one of our most popular gas powered models," says UK general sales manager, Paul Watson. "Oil Cooled Disc Brakes, three year warranty, integral side-shift, intelligent instrument control and easy serviceability means it offers unbeatable performance, all in a compact chassis.
"We're also very pleased that APEX chose our G20E models. Its ergonomically designed and spacious operator compartment combined with a variety of operational enhancements facilitates ease of operation and helps to boost output in any application." To address health & safety concerns, the new Doosan come with a wealth of safety features and carry a keyless ignition system from Transmon.
