Vehicle parts distributor uses Linde MH Bluespot safety
device on its mixed fleet of 32 Linde units
Linde MH has improved the safety within the warehouses of Asian and American vehicle parts distribution, Blue Print by deploying the Bluespot safety device to its mixed fleet of 32 Linde units.
Blue Print has four warehouses in Kent and delivers vehicle parts to over 700 customers across the UK. The current fleet comprises of ten N20s, five R14s, two R16s, two E20s, three N20Vis, eight T20APs a P30 and a P50Z. Improving safety for its operators is of high importance to the company and so it turned to Linde for a solution.
Bluespot is a visual driving path warning device consisting of two energyefficient, very bright and long-lasting LED lights attached to the top of the operator's protective roof frame, which each project a large blue spot onto the floor a few metres ahead in the direction of travel (forwards or backwards). This acts as a warning to pedestrians who may be approaching. The spot can be lit up constantly or can flash in order to attract attention.
Regional service manager for Linde South East, Mark Beck, says: "The Bluespot was the ideal solution for Blueprint. Attaching the Bluespot to the R14 reach trucks was especially effective as these trucks are usually found in the centre of warehouse operations meaning that visual, safety features like the BlueSpot are essential in ensuring that safety levels remain high."
