Pet healthcare brand extends CHEP contract
17 December 2013
Bob Martin has signed a three-year contract extension for pallet pooling with CHEP.
The new agreement extends CHEP’s existing provision of pallets to Bob Martin which dates back to April 2010, and will see CHEP deliver 200,000 flows per annum.
Bob Martin operations director, Will Steele said: "The working relationship we have developed over the past three years is a strong one, and CHEP has taken the time and effort to understand our supply chain intimately. The service offered delivers outstanding value for money, and this new deal reflects this, as well as the level of confidence we have in CHEP’s ability to deliver what they have promised.”
Under the new agreement, CHEP will be supplying approximately 170,000 industry standard B1210A pallets (1200x1000mm) using its Managed Recovery Service and 30,000 B1208A Euro pallets (1200x800mm) per annum for their European customers.
CHEP UK & Ireland Managing Director, Howard Wigham, added: "At CHEP, we’re seeking to build better supply chains together with our customers by helping them store, protect and move their products through the supply chain in a cost effective, safe and environmentally sound way. This new agreement reflects this ethos perfectly, and we’re delighted that Bob Martin has committed its future pallet business to CHEP in this way.”
