STR investment
10 November 2014
Leading independent specialist in short-term materials handling solutions, Briggs Equipment is investing a further £10.5m to broaden its range and satisfy increasing demand. The company has identified short-term rental (STR) as a key growth area of the materials handling services marketplace and over the past few years has been building its capability.

Since 2010 Briggs has made a capital investment of more than £50.5m in equipment. This year alone, £8.3million is being invested in new warehousing equipment, including reach trucks, powered pallet trucks, order pickers and electric counterbalance forklift trucks.
All equipment is the latest specification and can be hired for periods of as little as one day up to 12 months to provide customers with the most reliable solution to meet their seasonal, occasional and emergency needs. Briggs is also adding specialised aerial access equipment plus the JCB Workmax utility terrain vehicle to its STR fleet.
