Streamline processes

07 September 2015

Contact Attachments has provided a specialist supplier of suspension springs with a simple solution to streamlining processes.

The Mid Wales-based outfit supplied its High Lift model to Springcoil, allowing it to increase the working height of its forklift truck by two metres.

Springcoil called upon the High Lift jib so that it could transform its forklift truck into a crane and allow its staff to work safely at height for specialist applications, such as removing and fitting wheels to its dedicated grinding machine.

Springcoil MD Keith Grimshaw explains: "We were extremely keen to streamline some of our processes at our warehouse, and needed to be able to use the forklift for a variety of purposes. We’re really pleased with the High Lift jib we received from Contact Attachments – it came exactly as described, and has sped up many of our everyday tasks and processes. We would recommend their products to others who may need quick conversion of their own forklift trucks, and will certainly approach them again in the future.”

The High Lift crane jib eases the process of stacking and un-stacking products, and is secured directly on the carriage of a forklift truck, enabling quick conversion from a truck to a crane. It comes with a wide back plate to offer stability and help reduce load swings, as well as a hook and shackle as standard.

The High Lift forklift jib comes with a fixed beam length of 1,800mm and six different lifting location points to provide enhanced versatility, as well as the capacity to handle a range of loads which allow users to operate it within the lifting limits of their forklift trucks.
