Amazon to open tenth UK fulfilment centre
02 September 2015
Amazon will create over 300 jobs with the opening of the new fulfilment centre this autumn.
City AM reported that the company has chosen Doncaster as the location for its new 250,000 sq ft warehouse, which will be the second fulfilment centre in the city.
John Tagawa, vice president of operations at Amazon UK, said: "Our existing Doncaster team has done an exceptional job of delivering a first rate level of service for our customers and we are delighted to open another site which will further draw upon the strong pool of talent in the area."
The new site is located on Water Vole Way, a short distance from Amazon’s existing site on Balby Carr Bank, which opened in 2010.
