Manitou creates subsidiary dedicated to warehouse trucks

03 September 2015

LMH Solutions SAS will bring the Loc and Manilec brands to market through a network of independent dealers. The company's main focus is the French market, but it will also set its sights further afield.

This dedicated organisation will permit to provide the best solutions to our Loc and Manitou dealer customers thanks to its focus and a high level of specific know-how. Above and beyond the existing ranges of standard warehousing equipment, LMH Solutions is reinforcing its strategy of developing custom made products manufactured on order, based on its recognised expertise and with the improved agility provided by this new structure.

The production and administrative functions of LMH Solutions are located in Beaupréau, France, and the sales and after-sales service functions in Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône, France.

Thibaut de La Bigne, Managing Director of LMH Solutions stated: "Highly motivated teams have been working for nearly a year on this project and succeeded to install the production facility at the new Beaupréau site, which is 100% operational, by the end of 2014. With simplified and reactive processes, this new structure will permit us to provide the agility necessary to develop custom made products manufactured on order for which our customers recognise our added value."

Michel Denis, president & CEO of the Manitou group said: "This operation is an important step in the strengthening of the Manitou Group in industrial handling. With LMH Solutions the group has now an improved reactivity and a more efficient organisation to develop warehousing products, a product range which is very complementary to the industrial forklift business."

Manitou Group is a world leader in all‐terrain material handling with brands such as Manitou, Gehl, and Mustang. It turns over around €1.25 billion a year.

Calling all forklift dealers
The FLTA and category sponsor Combilift are renaming one of the FLTA Award categories. From the next Awards (at The International Centre in Telford, Shropshire on 27th February 2016) the Customer Focus category will be known as Dealer of the Year.

This is a chance for dealers, large and small, to grab their chance in the limelight and a much coveted Archie. Past winners are Bristol Forklifts, Gray Forklift Services and Douglas Gillespie Plant.

Entry to the Dealer of the Year Award category is open to all dealers, whether or not they are FLTA members. Nominations should be made by dealers or customers, via the Awards section of the FLTA website at www.fork-truck.org.uk/awards, and should include a summary in fewer than 100 words.
