Superior performance achieved by new Toyota reach truck range
02 December 2016
Toyota Material Handling UK is launching three new reach truck ranges to the UK market that excel in productivity and visibility thanks to a new mast design, smoother operation and increased driver comfort. The new trucks will be available in the New Year.
The three new truck ranges have capacities of 1.4 to 2.5 tonnes and include, the R-Series which is engineered for performance at height, the E-Series with the tilting cab for more precision and operator comfort and the versatile O-Series for indoor and outdoor operation.
The new BT Reflex reach trucks boast a new mast design that sets the standard in vertical performance with radically improved lift capacities of up to 13 metres, twinned with the new optimised reach control; it offers customers the clear focus they need to ensure operational safety, load stability and enhanced productivity. In addition, Toyota introduces the option of a transparent roof that in combination with the new mast offers the driver superb, obstruction free upward visibility.
Unique to Toyota reach trucks is the Transitional Lift Control (TLC) on all masts and the tilting cab on the E-Series; features that have been further enhanced on the new ranges. TLC ensures maximum load handling speeds can be maintained in operation thanks to shock-free lifting and lowering, giving the driver more control of the load. The cab tilting movement is smoother, which not only makes it more comfortable for the operator, reducing neck strain; but also gives better visibility that can lead to improved productivity.
The trucks have been designed to ensure optimal operator comfort. The controls, steering, seat and floor are all adjustable to suit the driver. Optimised Truck Performance (OTP) offers enhanced reach and cornering control for increased safety and productivity. The trucks can also be equipped with an optional fork position laser, which aids the positioning of the forks in front of the pallet, reducing damage to goods and infrastructure.
"We launched the new reach trucks at IMHX 2016, and are so pleased to now be able to introduce them into the UK market," says Tony Wallis, Commercial Director at Toyota Material Handling UK. "We are really impressed with the new mast design and great features as they will offer our customers real benefits in terms of comfort for the operator. They will also help our customers to work more efficiently and reduce damage to the truck and the load."
Lithium-ion and I_Site truck management are also options on the new range of reach trucks.
