Doosan gets heavy at Multimodal 2018

16 April 2018

The manufacturer will be exhibiting alongside its wholly owned subsidiary, Rushlift GSE, the airport ground handling specialists, at Multimodal 2018 (hall 4, stand 7050).

The show takes place at the NEC, Birmingham, 1-3 May 2018.

On the stand, Doosan will be showcasing its heavy lifting capability with its latest D160 diesel 16 tonne counterbalance model – part of its powerful diesel engine truck range – designed to deliver high-end torque at low RPM for reduced fuel consumption. Importantly, Doosan’s revolutionary G2 diesel engine is fully compliant with all current Euro Stage lll/lllB/lV emission regulations, without requiring a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF).

Doosan has an extensive range of over 200 models of counterbalance, reach and warehouse trucks, with capacities spanning 1.3 to 25 tonne, over power sources of electric, gas and diesel. Everything a freight logistics business needs in terms of handling performance to keep goods moving.

Paul Watson, UK commercial director for Doosan, says: “The freight transport sector is a primary focus for both Doosan and Rushlift GSE. We have a strong, robust range of heavy lifting trucks capable of meeting the diverse needs of the logistics market – from container stuffing to loading/unloading of vehicles. Our industry leading Doosan G2 diesel engine delivers the power to get the job done and our electric heavy-lifting counterbalance trucks are just as able.”

He adds: “Airside, Rushlift GSE is a leader in the field with its specialist knowledge of ground handling equipment and services – having just recently secured one of the aviation industry’s largest contracts to supply 449 ground support vehicles to a major carrier based at Gatwick.”

Visitors to the show will have the chance to win an iPad mini. All it takes is a business card to enter the prize draw.
