60 high-speed screens supplied
19 May 2020
Working through Vanderlande, Hart Doors has won a contract to supply 60 high-speed screens for a new baggage handling system at Manchester International airport.

Hart’s managing director, Nick Hart, says by working with the airport and Vanderlande they were able to agree the detailed specification required. “We built test / prototype units and had more meetings at our factory after which the contract was agreed,” says Nick.
“The high-speed screens are to operate with every bag that is checked into the airport. The door system communicates with both the baggage handling and the security systems so that it can be interrogated remotely from anywhere in the world.”
The three-phase contract is well underway with the final phase due to be finished and despatched by mid-July.
