Live Pick-it-Easy robot demo
18 July 2022
AUTOMATION SPECIALIST KNAPP will demonstrate the fulfilment capabilities of its Pick-it-Easy Robot at IMHX.

Developed in partnership with the Californian AI start-up, Covariant, Pick-it-Easy Robot picks orders with a high degree of accuracy at speeds equivalent to manual picking stations but can maintain these speeds over much longer periods. Its AI and intelligent sensors enable rapid self-teaching to recognise different packaging and features. The solution is operational within days and applications worldwide include online grocery fulfilment for Israel’s largest supermarket chain and handling of poly-wrapped fashion items for GXO.
Another key technology that will be promoted on the KNAPP stand is AutoPocket, the latest generation of its pocket sortation system. Pocket sorters are ideal for handling fast-moving products and high volumes, including returns. The new AutoPocket is able to drop goods off precisely and fully automatically without needing to slow down or stop.
The KNAPP team will be explaining two further new products to visitors. Open Shuttle Fork is the company’s latest AMR, a forklift version that can deposit pallets at heights up to 1.2m. Open Shuttle Store is KNAPP’s latest robotic storage system. Ideal for growing SMEs, this scalable solution features AMRs that store goods in the racking and also undertake transport tasks.
KNAPP will also be showcasing the power of AI with its software solutions, including KiSoft Genomix, KiSoft Analytics and redPILOT. KiSoft Genomix is a self-learning solution for managing master data – from weight and packaging type, to centre of gravity and tilting behaviour. KiSoft Analytics constantly analyses client data and visualises KPIs on dashboards to give a live overview of warehouse processes. The redPILOT software is designed to enable management to optimise warehouse operations by creating shift plans, allocating resources and preventing errors. Stand 5E45
