Pharma firm expands warehouse storage
09 November 2018
Smart-Space has completed the construction of a permanent, steel-clad building and two extensions to existing facilities for Cultech, at the company's Port Talbot location.

Cultech’s core business is the development and manufacture of nutritional food supplements and probiotics for the international health care market, supplying high specification products to the practitioner market of GPs and nutritionalists.
The 10-metre by 54-metre standalone storage facility will help Cultech continue to meet the growing global demand for its products.
The six-metre by eight-metre extension expands the size of the plant room. The 18-metre by 18-metre double-height extension provides additional storage capacity and a canteen and entrance for Cultech's on-site team of 240.
Smart-Space's lightweight permanent building system was ideal for the site's ground conditions. Key to this is the use of a high-strength light-weight structural frame of cold rolled steel sections rather than conventional hot rolled and fabricated steel girders and joists. The frame is clad in insulated composite sheeting to give weather tightness, insulation and to provide additional bracing to the structure.
